FEATURED PROJECTS

A WATERFRONT TREASURE

Such a perfect setting in a private cove. But the original house was outdated - and not one worth saving. It was hard to say "goodbye" but the clients recently said they can barely remember the old house now. Using the exact footprint, the new design created new spaces, new style and the best screened porch ever.

AN HISTORIC TRANSFORMATION

Outdated and in need of change, this beautiful home now has the views it never had. The addition that was added capitalizes on the natural light and the setting that cannot be matched. A new kitchen, updated bathrooms and re worked floor plan in the original house now balance the space and create an amazing, livable home.

A "COTTAGE" ON

THE BIG LAKE

Set on a high lot overlooking Wolfeboro Bay, you could not ask for a better view or waterfront setting. This new home - replacing what had become an unsalvageable camp - is set on the exact original footprint. The house features an amazing living / dining area, a gourmet kitchen, a screened porch and a walk out lower level. This house - while compact - lives big. The best of both worlds.

This was a project driven by the need to save a very special piece of history from the early 1800's in downtown Wolfeboro. As historic landmarks - the main Pickering House building, the attached Barn and the neighboring Samuel Avery Building had long been neglected and in major disrepair. (The Pickering properties were about to go under contract to a generic commercial retail group who intented to raze both buildings).

The renovation of these buildings took place from 2016 - 2018 (The Pickering House Inn and The Barn at Pickering) and the Samuel Avery Building in 2019 / 2020. In 2019, the Pickering House and Barn were named to the National Historic Register.

SAVING HISTORY:

  • The Pickering House Inn

  • The Barn at Pickering House

  • The Samuel Avery Building (Now home to PAVILION Food and Spirits, the AVERY Room and Revival Wellness)
